East Ukraine Campaign Amidst The Threat of Invasion

A large-scale evangelical media saturation campaign led by Great Commission Media Ministries is underway in the Eastern Ukraine war zone. Today we called our campaign call centre in Mariupol where the atmosphere in this major city is tense. Mariupol is only 15 km away from the Russian-backed rebel forces.

The negotiations between Russia and the United States take place this week as we are midway through the campaign. To date, GCMM has conducted 109 city campaigns on four continents. GCMM has not been in a situation like this in any country, where the threat of a major war is imminent at the same time as an ongoing megacity campaign.

To date, Mariupol's call centre phones have received thousands of calls and requests for the campaign book. The campaign message is of hope in all circumstances when God is at the centre of your life. Scientist Igor Kozlovski, who spent 700 days as a prisoner of rebel forces in the occupied territory, tells his story in the campaign book, the country’s radio and TV channels, and social media, on how he survived the persecution with the power of prayer.

We will bring you more updates directly from the war zone in the coming days.
