Poverty Aid Delivered to Ukrainian Orphanage in War Zone

Christmas in the war zone of eastern Ukraine

Just before Christmas GCM Ministries president Hannu Haukka visited an orpahange, in Mariupol, in the war zone of eastern Ukraine to deliver presents of toys and clothing to a needy orphanage.

We also delivered clothing and food supplies to needy families as well as military families in the area. For these soldiers and their families there was no Christmas shopping to be done as the fighting raged on just a few hundred meters from our position. Christmas celebrations would take place on a muddy road and with full combat gear on.

A bicycle was presented to a newly planted church to help local evangelists who travel on foot to deliver hampers to needy families.

The Pilgrim orphanage has received needed funds to build and operate their "chicken farm". The children can help out in its operation to produce eggs and chicken meat for their consumption.
